Pop-up Fair

The Pop-up Fair serves as a platform for non-government organizations, social enterprises and companies hiring people of difference to showcase talents and creativity. Come visit our booths for adorable accessories by disabled people, creative stationery with braille ideas, delicate food by autistic youth, formula coffee by deaf baristas and adorable ceramic products by people with intellectual disability.

 

Participating units include:

  • DOT (Dynamics Of Touch) by Barrier Free Access Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind
  • Hong Chi Association for people with intellectual disabilities
  • My Little Coffee, an inclusive cafeteria hiring deaf bristas
  • Anglechild, a social enterprise aiming to promote healthy food and to help the youth with autism to work with their talents in the society
  • New Life Psychiatric  Rehabilitation Association , supporting mental wellness for people in recovery of mental illness and for their families

About DOT

Dynamics Of Touch (DOT), is a brand under the Barrier Free Access Limited, a wholly-owned social enterprise of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind. The concept of the brand is inspired by the life of the visually impaired. Visually impaired persons (VIP) learn or record their life through their touch every day, but as sighted, we have just neglected the important message via our touch. About Hong Chi Assocation

Hong Chi Association is a non-profit making organization in Hong Kong that was started as a class for just four children with intellectual disabilities in 1965. The Association's name contains the words "Hong" in Chinese meaning "to assist", while "Chi" refering to "the intellect". The Association's emphasis is on what people with intellectual disabilities can achieve and the mission is to assist them in the development of their potential to the full. The Association is now serving over 7,000 people of all ages and all grades of intellectual disabilities through education, training, day care, sheltered, residetnail sercices, family and community support, recreational and social programmes, as well as professional therapy.
