This program is a platform to gather a group of enthusiastic students who want to empower the HKUST campus community to positively impact the support to students with SEN. SEN stands for Special Educational Needs in many occasions; whereas SEN also represents the following three roles of our SEN ambassaors:

  • Serve as an ambassador of the program by attending training related to Special Educational Needs, helping skills and creativity; by meeting regularly for student initiatives; and to be campus inclusion sensitive;
  • Engage the campus community to get involved in activities for raising the awareness and equal opportunity of SEN; and
  • Nurture new ambassadors by sharing experience, ideas and serving as a mentor.

Join the briefing session to learn more about what you can expect from the DARE (ambassador program). You are also welcome to bring up ideas of enhancing the campus inclusion in the session and meet with the DiversAbility Team of the University, who serve students with special educational needs and promote campus inclusiveness and accessibility, to find out more.
