Day1:Experience having a Developmental Disability (diversAbility - a festival for All)
Experience tells more than 100 articles. You may have already know what Dyslexia, ADHD & Autism mean; but do you understand how people with these developmental disabilities feel and think? Check out the minigames, as designed and instructed by the CareER team of post-secondary students and graduates with SEN, to experience their experiences in terms of reading, focusing and seeing the world. An award-winning student-led project, namely iSTEM, will also showcase their app's features to help students with learning challenges follow instructions through visual aids -- by making your own paper plane models!
Come with your peers to discover exactly what people with developmental disabilities feel like on a daily basis! Participants will get the BLUE stamp for redeeming a limited edition tote bag.
How does the stamp collection game work?
During the festival, participants will be given a different color stamp by taking part in the booth games on each day. By collecting three different color stamps, participants can redeem a tote bag specially designed for showing your support to students with special educational needs.
