Glittering Hands: special film screening about Deaf culture
This is a documentary film about the daily life of a pair of Deaf parents in the eyes of their hearing kids.
The 9th Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival is offering special screening sessions to local universities to enhance general public’s understanding towards the Deaf community, culture, issues and art. Taking this opportunity, the Counseling and Wellness Center is bringing you an award-winning independent film, Glittering Hands, with a unique and interesting story about love in the silence. Following the screening, there will be a sharing session by members of the Deaf culture to provide audience with a more in-depth exposure to the Deaf community in Hong Kong (in Hong Kong Sign Language and Cantonese; English interpretation if needed).

Remarks: HLTH1010 course participants will attain 1.5 hours for the “Wellness & Personal Enrichment” module of the HLTH1010 requirement upon completion of the event.

Participants who take part in the whole special screening session will receive mini terrarium by Rinato (兩生花), a social enterprise floral shop under the Tung Wah Group of Hospital aiming at connecting the Deaf with the society.
